Introduction: Houde ZiZhu Temple
建廟沿革
厚德紫竹寺主祀觀世音菩薩，清嘉慶年間，有陳氏先祖等六戶人家，為了開拓竹仔尖(此地昔日舊稱)，而擇地定居，並奉迎內門紫竹寺觀世音菩薩分靈，安奉於陳氏家中供人膜拜，香火鼎盛。
History
The principal deity of Houde ZiZhu Temple is Guanyin, Buddhist bodhisattva. During Jiajing Emperor in Qing dynasty, the Chen family together with other 6 family settled down in this area and worship Guanyin (wakemitama from Neimen Zizhusi Temple) Since then, more and more pilgrims have started gathering and worshipped Guanyin here.

取名「厚德紫竹寺」
民國63年(1974)間，菩薩履顯『立杯』之神蹟，後經菩薩指示：有建宮廟之議。終擇龍鳳穴位吉地，搭建簡陋小廟，將菩薩移奉膜拜，並取名「厚德紫竹寺」。 民國71年(1982)間，地方仕紳感念菩薩恩澤，於是發起重建之議，於民國74年(1985)，隆重舉辨觀音佛袓入火安座大典，是時來自各地前來朝拜的善信大德、進香團車水馬龍絡繹不絕，本寺因而名聞遐邇。 Houde ZiZhu Temple
In 1974, Lìjiǎo (立筊, standing answer) instructed that a temple should be built and named Houde ZiZhu Temple at the site and later from 1982 to1985, Houde ZiZhu Temple was reconstructed and expanded. Houde ZiZhu Temple now is known to pilgrims around Taiwan.

台南市南化區「厚德．紫竹寺」依山而建，深富詩情畫意，從山下至山頂沿山徑盤旋穿梭而上，兩旁林蔭夾道花香芬芳，香客遊客至此如臨仙境，均感心曠神怡。 【本寺後山】烏山健行步道，是登山郊遊的好去處，「厚德．紫竹寺」確實是觀光朝聖的好地方。

The midway attraction of the health trail is the viewing platform behind Houde ZiZhu Temple. Houde ZiZhu Temple is not only a place for worshipping folk belief, but also a venue for recreations.

Lucky money
發財金又稱生財錢母，不論士、農、工、商各行各業，皆可祈求，請回後，務必將發財金放在錢包內，或敬放在財位供奉，可祈得財源廣進聚財旺財，妙用無比。帶跨年後再回本寺禮拜叩恩，並隨喜功德還財。
諸位善信大德，可在本寺服務台洽詢報名登記。
Many pilgrims borrow lucky money from Houde ZiZhu Temple.Lucky money can be kept inside pockets, wallets or some suitable location for protection, good luck and fortune.
Lucky money should be returned in the next year.

A blessed turtle-shaped pastry
Houde ZiZhu Temple holds the event from January 1st to 5th in the Lunar calendar. Pilgrims who register this event will get lucky money as well.
